“When people are in transition, it’s often because
they’ve reached a dead-end in their career, someone
close to them has perished, or their lives lack
joy,” explains Caroline Miller, MAPP, positive
psychology and goal-setting specialist and author of
several books, including the forthcoming Creating
Your Best Life: The Ultimate Life List Guide
(Sterling, January 2009).
April 2008
"As you write your life list, you may hit a wall
after a few entries. Push through it. The first
10 or 20 items will be easy to come up with,
says Caroline Adams Miller, who created the website
your100things.com. You might write 'learn
Italian, visit the White House, get the kids through

her shell: Life coach Caroline Adams Miller wore the
University of Maryland turtle mascot outfit.
January 19, 2008
Miller, the life coach, wanted to put on the big,
furry head of a sports mascot -- and she did. "I
shook my butt at center court!" she crows about
the basketball game she spent as the University of
Maryland turtle.
The point is not what you do. It's allowing
yourself to do whatever you need to -- deep inside.
"You don't have to be dying," Miller says. "But
something does have to snap you out of everyday life."

The Bucket
List
January
15, 2008 It's not enough to react to life on a day-by-day
basis. People need a road map. Life lists are one of
the best ways to plumb the depths of the human
psyche," says Caroline Adams Miller, an
author and life coach who encourages clients to
create a 100-item list.

behaviors and thinking patterns. Instead,
gravitate toward the "bright lights" who'll infect
